Half-life 2 is the second most immersive gaming experience I've ever had. The other being Halo 3.

The truth is when I played through Half-life 2 I didn't think it was as amazing as people said it was (although I did enjoy it and was well aware of all of its innovations and genre changing content), but then after playing through Episode 1 and Episode 2 I began to reflect on it, and then I thought about how fun, frightening and truly immersive it was for me, then I realized just how amazing Half-life is (despite some too many battle's that can often become a drag ,and a bit of bloat here and there), how the immersion is never once broken or how the character interactions are so lively, and how the characters themselves are so filled with life, personality and depth, and how the game go's back and forth between intense, frightening, gritty, serene, awe-inspiring and unforgettable moments. All in all Half-life 2 is a game that (if you want the most from your gaming experience) no gamer should be without. Overall a truly mesmerizing and haunting journey that you will never forget.
