Happy wheels, but 3D

User Rating: 9 | Guts and Glory PC

When describing this game nothing comes closer than "Happy wheels, but 3D". A simple game about going from point to point, checkpoint to checkpoint, because there are checkpoints, and you will need them.

The game consist of 9 level packs, each complete with their own separate "stories" (the text on loading screens, that isn't importent to gameplay, nevertheless funny), some bonus levels, and of course the game has steam workshop support. Throughout the 9 level packs, you will see American Suburbs, southern states, a sprawling metropolis, a bloody theme park, and the U.S./Mexican border.

The gameplay consist of riding a bike, car, skateboard, motorcycle, or even a rocketpowered chair. The goal is to reach is checkpoint to complete the course and move on to the next one, most courses have dangerous spikes, arrows, and cannons, all ready to end your characters life in an instant. This is the games biggest strength, watching a guy on a bike getting impaled by an arrow and then hit a hidden mine and blow up.

A drawback of the game is the global leaderboard, while in theory offering fearless competition, I have found the leaderboard to be riddled with cheats/unobtainable times, this really made me feel slow, because no matter how fast I ran a level, someone else had done it 15 seconds faster (figuratively).

The game is riddled with bugs, but that's a good thing, in any given level the player is given the choice of resetting to checkpoint or reset to start. All bugs and glitches serve to entertain the user rather than annoy them, because anything serious can be fixed by a click of a button + short load (please install this game on a ssd).

I love this game, I love the brutal yet funny deaths, and I like the levels 9/10 - Fupws
