All the great points of Lumines with a whole new concept.

It isn't an easy task for PSP owners to find worthwhile games to play on this expensive, sleek portable gaming hardware, however there is one company who will never let you down...Q Entertainment. I've been playing Lumines since day 1 and I still play it, along with it's sibling Lumines II, both are fantastic games and Gunpey deserves to be right up there with them. Yet another puzzle game of course that will keep you busy for hours on end as you figure out how to move these "sticks" to get them to connect from one side of the screen to the other within a 5 x 10 grid. You can only move them up or down similar to Meteos, but you're also using the D-pad and Square or Triangle so it can get even more frantic. The real strategy isn't just getting connection from one side to the other though. You'll notice that once you do the game will kind of freeze for about 10 seconds and any sticks that aren't in the connection can still be moved freely, so at this time you can scramble branches off of the main connection to make some crazy combos. It may not make much sense in writing, but once you do it and you see the true depth to this puzzler you'll be hooked. I think it goes without saying if you know anything about Q Entertainment you know that there are fantastic visuals and sounds to accompany this game. I am still yet to see many of the skins as this game is not very easy, it ramps up in difficulty fairly quickly over few skins. But the ones I have seen are fantastic to watch and I have no doubt that the rest to follow are as well. The sounds as I said are great also. As you move things around the sounds change with your actions and all that fun stuff. Lots of weird technoish type music that is for more than just techno lovers, I personally don't like techno at all, but I could listen to this guys work for hours on end. For the low price of only $19.99 everyone who bought a PSP should not miss out on this game. It's just a great puzzle game over all and I don't see myself stopping anytime soon with this one.
