Sub-par light-gun game, which never really comes close to competing with the Time Crisis series.

I'll keep this review short as in truth I have little to say:

For a bargain punt off eBay, the game delivered perhaps as expected - a fun few play throughs but little to no replay value. The graphics are decisively average PS2 quality, it's no FF masterpiece, but it's ahead of your dodgy Japanese import types.

Listing its' peers as the Time Crisis series, perhaps it had much to live up to. Many list this game amongst the better in the genre, however I feel it fell very flat in comparison to even the first Time Crisis game or the much celebrated Point Blank series. Despite it using the guncon2 system, I don't feel that it was as sharp or as accurate as I had expected.

With the extra mini-games and gun modes (and added co-op) this game IS more than just a boring arcade shooter, but it really is a little uninspired. The storyline is predictably clichéd, FX are weak and further more the in-game scoring system left me frustrated.

Was it worth the solitary pound (including p&p) that I paid for it? Yes, it was - but to be honest I wouldn't have paid much more.

For a better light-gun experience go back to your classics - Time Crisis, Point Blank, Virtua Cop ... even Endgame was better, and that game had some massively glaring faults. Perhaps I've been spoiled by other game series', but I think I probably would have saved that pound if I'd known and spent it down my local arcade on Time Crisis 2 trying to beat my highscore.
