Fun for any Guitar Hero fan, but nothing particularly innovative.

Guitar Hero III is a great game to play with a group of people. There is plenty of variety in the songs that can be played and there are plenty of achievements that will challenge even the most proficient players. There are some new features and the boss battles are both difficult and fun. Bosses like Slash and Tom Morello make the game much more interesting. However, the game is not for everyone and shows its aging for the series. There are parts of the career mode where I just wanted to skip certain songs and get to the end. I wish they included a Radiohead song too. Nevertheless, there are plenty of great songs, ranging from classics to modern alternative rock. It's always entertaining to pick up the guitar at a party and start playing a couple songs. It's fun for a while but it's nothing groundbreaking. Of course, maybe that's the point.
