Great soundtrack, but the the gameplay has developed some flaws
Sound: The sound is what matters the most in rythm based games right? Well thankfully guitar hero 3 has one of the best soundtracks out there in my opinion. It has some great bands such as Pearl Jam, Foghat, MUSE, Slayer, and even Metallica. The soundtrack is varied greatly so there is a little something for everybody. The audio quality is is also excellent, except for the wii version which kind of sounds muffled for some reason. But anyways the The sound is overall excellent. Rating: 9.5/10
Gameplay: Now here is the second thing that matters most in a rythm game: the gameplay. Now the gameplay here is still as awesome as ever but there is one major problem, The difficulty. Now some of these songs are ridiculously easy while others are insanely hard! And sometimes they can even be in the same tier! And its also a known fact that the bosses in this game can be cheap (especially Lou). Anyone who has made it to him knows just how hard it is to fight him. It all revolves around luck for you. Its also highly unfair as to how they never ever miss a note unless you make them! Many gamers could not complete the game on the harder difficulties due to this bastard. But anyways the difficulty should have been tuned out a bit.

Graphics/Presentation: Well considering this is a rythm game you cant really expect much but surprisingly this game had some pretty good graphics for 2007. The lighting, and background effects really set the mood for what song you were playing, and it just felt awesome. But there were some problems such as the animation, which is god awful. The drummer looks like a chuck e cheese robot while the bassist just stands there and just bobs his head back and forth. Thankfully the singers lips actually match the songs lyrics for the most part which is a saving grace for the animation. The animation in the crowds also seems bland, as they just stand there waving back and forth. But the presentation is decent overall. Rating: 6.5/10
Final verdict: 7.5/10 Guitar hero 3 isnt a bad game it just doesnt live up to the standards to the previous games. This game is great to have a party or if you and some friends just want to play a casual game.
