Let's not look at the number 7, and look at the part where it says "good." From what I played, the game is good, not great, but just good. Where the game lacks (I personally have found lots of lacking parts), it is picked up with fast fluid gameplay. Fast, fluid gameplay should be the foundation of every fighter, and this game has it. GG Xrd has a great side mode called M.O.M. which is kind of like a rpg blend of fighting. The arcade mode has a non-direct way to tell a story, nothing makes much sense, but still good they added some cutscenes. I had to read the game manual to get some sense of whats really going on. The online has online lobbies similar to Soul Calibur 5 which is really good. And you can unlock a fighter, awesome. You can buy him as dlc but I know everybody loves unlocking new fighters and things in fighting games and not a ton of dlc. But other than that, I don't find much else to praise about this game. The other "abundances" of game modes consist of practice modes where the game tells you to do a move/combo and you do it. Not much of a game mode and really lame in my opinion. Modes such as these should not be listed as actual game modes. They aren't fun. Modes like M.O.M, Abyss (Blazeblue), Edge Master/Chronicles of the Sword/Tower (Soul Calibur) are all fun and aren't practice. I consider stuff like that game modes. There are only a few interesting characters in the game, that I would even play with (everybody's opions vary) I mean there is a paralyzed guy in a bed that has mechanical legs and arms for crying out loud. Please make better characters. And lastly, the story mode is just one big old cutscene a few hours long. No fighting, just like a movie. Not bad, but definitely anything to write home about. Anyway, if you have a ps4 and really want a fighter buy this game. It is a fun game, just don't have to high of expectations.
The good- Online lobby matchmaking, M.O.M. mode, fast fluid fighting mechanics, unlockable characters.
The bad- Bad "other" game modes, lacking interesting characters, lame story mode without fighting.
