Fast Moving Sprites......

User Rating: 7.9 | Guilty Gear XX #Reload XBOX
This game really changed my views about other 2-D fighters on the market that I thought couldnt be as good as Marvel VS. Capcom. Guilty Gear X2 is probably one of the most fast paced, action packed 2-D fighting game since Marvel VS. Capcom.

Graphics:
What you would expect from a 2-D fighting game. Tons of brilliantly collaborated sprites combined with some 3-D backrounds and environments really make this game stand out and add to the kick ass action that takes place throughout the game. The fighting is extremely tense, and lightning fast, which makes this game more addictive and entertaining.

Sound:
The metal soundtrack will draw you in when youre in the middle of ripping your opponent a new one. The sound effects can sound cartoony at times, but dont let that draw you away from some of the brutal combos you manage to pull off, while dispersing your enemy and managing to give him another hole to breathe out of.

Control:
Being a 2-D fighter does have its perks. Such as an extremely fast, agile, tight, and responsive control scheme. Performing combos can be tedious and hard to master at first glance. Although once you pull them off, you will be simply astonished and eager to pull off more and more. Button mashing is common for noobs in this title.

Replay:
This game has tons of replay value. Some are good, others are awry. The good comes from the story mode, and some of the other side stories, such as the M.O.M. mode, which I still to this day have yet to figure out WTF it stands for, and some mission modes. Now where this game can tend to go foul is in its online component. The online mode offers fast paced action, but with the cost of some lag. Not lag that will freeze your Xbox, but the kind of lag that will allow you to miss combos completely due to the laggy control layout when playing online. But bypassing that, this game offers hours of fun and sprite kick ass fun.

Overall:
This game can be recognized for its outstanding achievement in being a fast paced 2-D fighting game. The control layout is comfortable and reliable at times, and only lags and becomes annoying when playing online. Other than that anybody looking to kick some ass while playing as sprites, and pulling off some kick ass combos wont have to look far. Guilty Gear X2 provides you with kick ass fighting all around.
