Although these games are kind of old, they are worth every single minute of playing.

The Growlanser games are not heard of often in the United States. Mainly because they were imports and just got a LOT of English speaking voiceovers as well. Never the less, the Growlanser series has a lot going on for it. To me, it is a crossover of Final Fantasy Tactics and the Lunar games. A LOT of anime drawn characters are in the game and if you like anime and RPG's, this game is up your alley. In Growlanser II, you can have up to a maximum of 8 people in a battle. That is quite a lot considering the day and age of most modern RPG's. Gameplay is basic but does require strategy. At times, you may think that you may be outnumbered but the odds are in your favor if you can work your strategy just right. This makes the game much more interesting because it requires you to think about the consequences and benefits from each action. Abilities are learned on the basis of level ups. As you gain a level, there will be more skills to learn and the distribution points are about 2-3 for each level gain. Therefore, you have to think about what abilities you want. From learning a new attack, increasing max HP or getting stronger for better armor, the choice is up to you. I have been mainly playing Growlanser II: The Sense of Justice as opposed to the third one. This is a really good game and it is hard to come by as well. Try to get it while you still can!
