It's always disappointing to give a negative review but let start with the positives about Growlanswer Generations. For one, it has nice anime-like graphics and the style of the environment is a reminder of the retro days of Strategy-games like Final Fantasy Tactics. The music is ok too. The storyline is traditional setting in a kingdom with wars, kings, social class and the characters each have personalities. What loses steam is the frustrating battle-engine. The characters almost mindlessly execute a move that you only have partial control. In addition you have to set the game on Auto-Save otherwise it doesn't allow you to re-fight a particular battle (other Strategy games like Disgaea) allow you to do that and also you have 100% of your characters on the battlefield. Without a good battle-engine it doesn't get my vote.
