One of the best PS2 games. Better than the other GTAs.

User Rating: 9.1 | Grand Theft Auto: Vice City PS2
Grand Theft Auto 3 was a revolutionary game during its time. GTA: Vice City took everything good about GTA 3 and improved upon it.

First off, Vice City is wonderfully designed. The city is not too small, nor is it too big, its just right. Second is the main character, Tommy Vercetti, is a badass drug dealer. While the storyline is somewhat similar to GTA 3, the fact that this one is in Miami, during the 80s just somehow makes it better. The idea of dealing cocaine and taking over strip clubs just don't seem to be too far fetched considering its in 1986.

The biggest influence for the game is the movie Scarface, which is a wonderful movie. If you are a fan of Scarface, you will be a fan of Vice City. You will notice the strip club and Tommy's hideout are taken right out of the movie.

For some reason, missions don't get old. Unlike other GTAs, there are few difficult missions one after another.

Overall, the game has everything. Enjoyable music, great design, and just a fun game. You can spend hours of playing time getting nothing accomplished which makes the GTA series wonderful. However, because Vice City is not as big as San Andreas, and there is no flight school mission, I wil rate Vice City higher than SA.

If you are new to GTA, Vice City is a great one to start off with.
