In comparison to everything Post-GTA II, this is my least favorite. Nevertheless, its a great addition to the series

The majority of this game's missions is surrounded by what property you (Tommy Verchetti) have recent purchased. Despite my lack of preferance for this format, I can respect what Rockstar may have been trying to accomplish: Different criminal, different methods, different goal. GTA III's Claude was just a small time criminal looking to score some cash, Tommy Verchetti on the other hand is a mob lap dog looking to take over Mia...eh um...I mean Vice City's criminal underground. Claude fought, shot, sniped, detonated, and on occassions, f*cked his way to victory. Tommy on the other hand strategically buys property, collects revenue, and invests in building his own criminal empire to overthrow his boss'. As clever and intelligent as Tommy's way of doing things sounds, Claude's was just way more fun to execute. BUT Vice City's final mission was far more entertaining and climatic. Plus, you gotta love all the Scarface and 80s throw back references made in the game.

My Breakdown:

What's Good:

- Improved Graphics
- More weapons than GTA III
- New character with a personality
- Buying property does have its rewards...
- Plenty of 80s throw back humor and nostalgia for those who lived through the decade
- Can change clothes
- MOTORCYCLES!!!
- The Bank Robbery Mission
- You can now enter buildings and cause mayhem

What's-Not-So-Good:

- You can no longer carry all weapons at once. Some weapons must be dropped to carry others

- That hideously ugly blue shirt Tommy starts the game off in

- The mission before the bank robbery one. Racing that guy was a pain!

What's Bad:

- Buying property as means to gain missions was kind of lame. It made the game feel really short for some reason.

- The "Kill all Haitians" thing was blown way out of proportion

- Tommy talks too much. It kind of takes away from when you may just want to clown around on the game

In all, GTA Vice City was a great addition to the series but if given a choice between controlling the actions of a low life or those of an up and coming mob boss....I'm going to have to go with the low life. Sorry Tommy, but f*ckin sh!t up is way more fun than investing money :-(
