Grand Theft Auto V is an astonishing achievement in storytelling, design and freedom.

User Rating: 10 | Grand Theft Auto V X360

The Good:

Graphics and visuals are beautiful and tremendous and certainly push the Xbox 360 hardware to the limit. Great storytelling. Michael, Franklin and Trevor are likable characters. It's great to be back in Los Santos.

The Bad:

Can't seem to go into any restaurant, in and out of Los Santos.

Intro:

Grand Theft Auto V follows the story of Michael De Santa living a mid-life crisis at home while trying to forget his troubled past, but memories soon come back to haunt him as Trevor springs back into his life to keep their friendship unattached. Meanwhile, a young gangster named Franklin is trying to make himself the main player of the streets. But soon, all three of the these guys will make it big in Los Santos..

Game play:

If you know the Grand Theft Auto series by this point, you already know what to expect. You beat people up, jack cars, prostitute service, etc. New features have been added to the game play like the ability to touch strippers, play with Franklin's dog Chop and the thrill of riding a "James Bond" type vehicle just to name a few, but trust me, there's plenty more to do in Los Santos.

Graphics:

If there was any problems about the beautiful graphics in GTA IV, it was minor visual quirks. But GTA V visually solved that problem by bumping up and squeezing a little more power and the ending result is pretty fantastic. You can tell the developers worked hard and modeled Los Santos with each and every detail.

Controls:

Left joystick for moving Michael, Franklin or Trevor. Left trigger for aiming. Right trigger for punching and shooting. X for jumping and climbing over platforms. Right joystick for moving camera.

Music and Sound:

Music score composed specifically for this fifth installment is intense and fantastic. Sound effects are, yeah, you guessed it: crystal clear.

Lasting Appeal:

Grand Theft Auto V is the golden pinnacle of open-world games, no other open-world game has come this close, in both size and scope. 10 out of 10.
