Grand Theft Auto V best in series

User Rating: 10 | Grand Theft Auto V X360
Grand Theft Auto V is one of the few games I have played on console that allows for such a vastness of options and style to play in a game. The world is set in Los Santos, a fake Los Angeles, with its populated city and vast wilderness and rural areas surrounding it. This is the first time GTA has brought three protagonist into a game and did so very well. Some of the features of GTA V are but not limited to are exploration, activities, customization, story telling, immersion, and much more. All characters have a fairly extensive background from Michael the reformed bank robber, Franklin the gang banger with big dreams, and Trevor the psychotic sociopath. Each player has a unique feel to them that makes you invest your time into understand the person and what they want out of life. This is also the first time GTA has introduced special abilities unique to each character. Doing so added to the unique characteristic of the characters to better understand who they are. Not to mention the way the story interweaves with one another to make it a immerse story telling experience. They kept some key features used in other games and in GTA IV that helped it bring out an open-world experience. The random encounters that happen make the world feel like it is a living and breathing world. Although some characters are less memorable than others there are some moments that make your jaw drop or burst out laughing. Another feature they kept are the activities. The amount of time you can put into one just to get a gold standing could take some time but in the end you feel rewarded for the hard work.

When looking at the gameplay you are either going to like it or not. Its an over the shoulder third-person shooter with varying options of aiming and sensitivity preferences. It is vastly improved on from its predecessor allowing for a better targeting system and less choppy free aim system.

All in all GTA V has brought more innovation for open world games. Not just in story telling or complex environments but making these aspects more rich and memorable. There will be one time or more where you think "that did not just happen" or "I can't believe that's in here" and have it stick in your mind. It does not matter if you are a GTA fan or not everyone who are fans of open-world gaming show have a look at the world. If you decide it is not for you there are many other games out there to enjoy. But if you mind the underlying chaos of the GTA world that has been created then welcome to Los Santos
