GTA Chinatown Wars might be the best PSP game to date...

If you own a Nintendo DS and are not kids, there are strong chances you played GTA Chinatown Wars on that platform. Personally, I think this is the best DS game ever. However, I had strong doubts about the PSP version, as the game had to have improved graphics and sound, as well as fixed gameplay, because many features were playable using the touch-screen.

I was not disappointed... AT ALL!

In fact, GTA Chinatown Wars might be the best PSP game to date. It has everything the DS version has (great story and gameplay) and more! Of course it plays exactly the same way as the DS version (top-down view) unlike Liberty City Stories or Vice City Stories, but the fun is there, as the GTA IV Liberty City is fully recreated in 3D. There are more radio stations, more missions and the game makes a good use of the joystick in order to replace the screen touch mechanisms.

The only downer with this game are the radio stations, which only consist of instrumental music. I would have loved to see Rockstar get a licensed soundtrack like in the other two PSP GTAs, but I must admit the sound quality and music diversity is far superior to the DS version.

To sum up, if you own a PSP and love action games, go for it. The platform has many disappointing titles in its library, but Chinatown Wars is not one of them. It's one of the reasons why the PSP is not dead yet. It shows the great potential of this console.

CONRATULATIONS ROCKSTAR!!!
