It's the driving game anyone would want, and it lasts a lifetime.

User Rating: 10 | Gran Turismo 3 A-spec (Platinum) PS2
At the time I was given this, I wasn't a huge fan of driving games. But Gran Turismo 3 made driving one of my favourite genres.
There's plenty to do. If you are into the casual approach, you can visit the arcade mode, but the more serious drivers could play the Gran Turismo mode. There is plenty to do there. There are the main modes: the races and license mode. Obviously, in race mode, you have to complete a series of races. It offers a challenge over five modes: beginner, amateur, professional and endurance. The endurance races add the longetivity to the game as there are over 10 races that often take over an hour to complete, some take two. License mode gives challenges that get harder as they go. There are also rally challenges.
There are many other places to go in GT mode. GT Auto gives you the offer to clean your car, give it new oil (the cars you drive eventually lose oil, making them slower) and to replace a car with a large selection of tyres. There is a test course where you can test your cars. Plus there's the garage, where all your cars are kept and your stats are shown.
The cars are very well designed and there are a good selection. The tracks are varied and, again, look great.

Positives:
Great car designs and great looking environments.
Many modes to use.
You'll probably love this even if you aren't a big car fan.
Very long.
