Lots of cars and tracks makes this game the best old school game ever!

User Rating: 9.5 | Gran Turismo 2 (Greatest Hits) PS
I remember playing this game since I was a kid. I liked the game so much, I played it much and I missed the game. I've been a fan of Gran Turismo, so I'm gonna review this game.

Before reviewing the gameplay, graphics, sounds and more, I'm gonna tell about the CD case . The case contains 2 disc separated: Arcade and Simulation Mode, and an instruction book. Moving on....

Gameplay:
There are 500 cars, 47 tracks and it added a rally race. The first game didn't have rally race, just then GT 2 adds a rally race to make it more fun. Few tracks have been returned from the last game. Now, i'm gonna talk about the title menu and the simulation munu. The title menu is different from the first game. The sound effect are different too. It was improved that time. The simulation menu is different too. In the first game, there are car company in the menu, but the 2nd game, instead of being the same, they are separated from each city: North, South, East and West. The sound of the simulation mode are different. GT 1 has a rock sound, but GT 2 has a jazz sound. Next. The handling of the car are ok, but its gets challenging once you pick a car with a great acceleration or speed, but low handling. The AI are ok, get hard when pick a course or event. If you want to enter the events, they have different types or requirements, first was the license and second is the speed or acceleration. The rest of some the events are free. They have 4 events in the "Go Race" menu. The GT League, Special Event, Rally Event and Endurance. The Rally events requires a rally car if you want to enter the race. It also includes events on different car company. Now, lets talk about the cars. The cars are nice. They have some awesome cars and a special cars. The special cars requires a lot of money to buy. Most of them cannot buy because its needs to unlock it. The range of the cost of special cars is 500,000 to 2,000,000. The rest of the cars a lower. The next thing is that you can trade, or something for a car or tracks, whatever it is. Next, lets talk about the Arcade Mode. I already told that they are separated and I already talked about the Simulation mode, now im gonna explain the Arcade mode.

The title menu are the same design of the simulation mode, but the picture background is different. The sound are the same. You can play multiplayer race of the Arcade mode. They have different class of cars. They have 2 events: the rally and the road (I forgot) and the 3 difficulties: Easy, Medium, Hard. Thats all I can tell about the arcade mode

Graphics:
Its not much improvement from the last game Gran Turismo. Its basically the same graphics with the same cars and tracks details. Its just a little improvement though.

Sounds:
The music list is very short, but its not the problem. The vehicle sound are exactly great.

Replay Value:
You can go back and unlock the cars or get the car, and beat the race. You can play 2 players on the Arcade mode disc.

Overall, the game is very amazing. If you didn't played the first game, the you can get and get this game. Otherwise, this is very amazing and recommended game.
