Gothic 2, Diamond in the Dirth of PC RPGs

User Rating: 9.7 | Gothic II: Gold Edition PC
Simply put, this is the most genius and realistic Action RPG game I have played. The way everything goes together in the storyline plot is amazing. The sidequest that ARE part of the mainstoryline (though not manditory for the advance of it), and they can help you make short cuts to certain mainstoryline things, such as getting into the Guard's so you can visit the Lord. Normally you would have to get a job to be a citizen of the town, which by getting a job, you have to do ALOT of sidequest to get everyone's approval, however, when you play your cards right, you wouldnt even have to get a job, do something for a certain person of the miltia and you can be apart of it the short way...

Thats the kind of things I love in this game, EVERYTHING is truely open ended, even the manner you solver quest. I was surprised with the way when somebody threatens you or tells you something, even if it don't happen 10 hours in the game, what they said will make sense sooner or later (still talking about side quest lol)....

Some people complained about the controls, however, the controls aren't difficult, nor strange, it just has it own combat system, just like any other game should have. This one, you hold the left mouse button and press the direction buttons....nothing too hard, just good ol realistic old school sword fighting....the real way things were down back in medival times....

I mean, this game has too much to explain, it's storyline entrigued me from the beginning, the way your guy starts off weak, when he use to be strong, makes you have the urge to get his former powers back....

The way it connects with Gothic 1 history is CRAZY fun....you see ppl he kinda remembers (depends on what dialog choice you pick) and ppl who remembers him....By their words, your character was strong as hell back in his past days....but now its a whole new quest, and a whole revamped quest from the other overseas gothic 2

All I gotta say is, if you dont like this game, or if you havent played it

you've missing something real big, something will good, something better than everything except Oblivion.....(and MAYBE morrowind, but this game is more involved than morrowind...)
