This game is HUGE!!! (Just be sure to download the 1.72 patch)

First of all, let me just say that this game is HUGE!!! There is a whole world to explore in Gothic 3. Before playing the game though, be sure to download the 1.72 patch. The patch takes away A LOT of bugs and makes the combat and game easier and more comfortable. Althought there are still bugs in the game from time to time, but hey, not EVERY video game can be perfectly bug free lol.

Gameplay- Massive. This game gives you a great deal of freedom to explore the world your way. There are so many decesions to make in this game that it's crazy. Ther are also just a lot of quests that add up that make you feel like you don't even know where to start lol. Some quests even give you choices to make, like either to kill a person or save that person, its up to you. But there is a downfall to all this. The combat. Even though there is a patch for it, the combat is STILL a weakness for the game. It just seems to get kinda boring after a while, mostly because the character looks really stiff when he swings his weapon. I can't even imagine playing this game without any of the new patches.

Music- The music is glorious and very well done. If you are into symphany orcestra and classical music that is.

Story- I haven't played any of the first Gothic games, so I dont know much about the full story itself. In Gothic 3 you play as "The Nameless Hero" and it starts off you are looking for the mage called Xardas. Also there are different political parties in the game such as the Orcs, Rebels, Hashishans, and others I can't remember right now that you can work for to rise your reputation with them. Making them gain your trust and giving you more quests and stuff.

Overall, if you are wanting to get a good massive game that will take you up to weeks and possibly months to beat, I recommend this game as long as you download the 1.72 patch. Also if you are wanting to dive into a world where every choice is yours, again I will say go for Gothic 3. Personally, I'm not even half way through the game and I've been playing this game for about 40 hours at LEAST. So I'm sure there is A LOT more hours to add to this game.
