Flawless in every sense of the word.

User Rating: 10 | Golden Sun GBA
The best RPG for the Game Boy Advance ever MADE. An excellently unfolded story with memorable villains, state-of-the-art graphics for the Game Boy Advance, phenomenal variety of sounds... there isn't any reason why any fan of RPGs should not pick this game up. Even people who've never played an RPG before can play this game.

Graphics - 10/10

Perfection. The crisp view of Isaac's surroundings, the breath-taking Summon sequences, the awesome Weapon unleash sequences... all look smooth, animated, and natural. The graphics look very diligent and simply immaculate.

Sound - 10/10

The music used in Golden Sun flows incredibly well throughout the game. Caves are dark, mysterious, and gloomy. Prosperous villages have uplifting, sunny, cathy tones to them. Battling enemies demonstrates dangerous, yet inspirational music. If you close your eyes and listen closely to the music on the Ship, you can almost smell the ocean. The music doesn't disappoint.

Value - 10/10

One can delve into the world of Golden Sun for less than lunch for two at McDonald's. After exploring every nook and cranny, you'll have at least Twenty-five hours of gameplay; not including the sidequests, and the several Djinn just waiting to be found. If you try this game, chances are you'll be wishing for more than just three save spaces.

Storyline - 9/10

You won't want to put this game down until you finish up the story. The complexity of your foes, the areas that can be traveled... you'll find yourself going into a flooded mine for one second, and the next you'll be in a scorching desert. It's really amazing the places where Isaac's travels take him to next, hot on the trail of a few of the memorable villains out there. The only problem with the storyline is the extensive speech. The first time through, the speech is impeccable, vast, and intellectual. But replaying the game takes a bit more time because of the length of these conversations, and no skip command.

Golden Sun delivers. There really isn't an excuse why any self-respecting fan of RPGs shouldn't go out and purchase this game.
