Not totally bad... but could have been much better.
The hack N slash nature of this game does get somewhat repetitive and the enemies are repeated throughout. But it's not as simple as smashing the button. There are Evade and Parry moves that unless mastered, will leave you frustrated and dead. Some enemies have armor and have to be fought with skill and patience. Others ride on beasts and can be thrown off so the beasts can be used yourself. Hence the nature of the name of this game. There are a couple of different beasts that you can ride and use to kill enemies and destroy treasure chests and walls. There are some switches that also can only be used while riding an animal.
If you play smart and use the energy refills wisely, this game isnt that difficult. In fact the final Boss was really easy because each time you hit him, you gain health. If you are looking for a somewhat challenging game to pass the time, then give this a try.
