Godzilla, King of monsters but not of games.

User Rating: 6.5 | Godzilla Kaijuu Dairantou Advance GBA
Godzilla is another one of those things that I've loved from a very young age, I have fond memories of Saturday mornings when I'd stick on one of the old Japanese films featuring a man in a suit and some very badly dubbed actors, happy days.
Godzilla is, and has been since he was created back in the 1954, the most popular giant monster. He's featured in over 20 films and has had numerous games. Some of the games are good some are dire, this game, Godzilla Domination for GBA falls very neatly in the middle.
The game allows you to play as one of six of the original series' monsters. Not a great selection and some of the more major monsters are missing but it does its job. The story mode has, guess what, no story. It's simply to fighting random monsters in random settings until you reach the boss. Not great but will keep you entertained for about 5 minutes, after which if you're a real Godzilla fan you'll fight some custom fights to try and recreate some of the epic fights from the films, which you can't do because so many of the monsters are missing fro the roster such as Gigan.
The graphics of the game are not very convincing but the monsters that are included are all recognisable. The music is ok but not great. The fighting itself is again ok but could be better.
Everything about this game could have been better but also could have been worse. There are several reasons to buy this game and equal reasons not to. If you like fighters or Godzilla I'd recommend renting it first.
