Gods and Heroes...once a cancelled MMO game, brought back to life by Heatwave. First off, this MMO does have some rough edges, typical stuff. Just some bugs to be squashed. I bought this from a Gamestop where a friend of mine would have let me return it if it tanked. This game aint going nowhere. First of the graphics. I was prepared for sub par graphics, because I listened to people bashing Gods & Heroes. I was VERY pleasantly surprised when I saw it run! 1920x1200 rez, all ultra high detail, it looks stunning. The world and the mobs are something that pull me into a MMO, and this game hooked me in 10 minutes. They really nail the roman & mythology vibe. But the big reason I bought this game was the minions. Apparently there are over 150 of them (all different) you can collect that go out on quests and fight with you. I LOVE this aspect, as why I loved Guild Wars for the henchmen. The UI is very WoW like, but thats not a bad thing. It feels comfortable, because you know it. It has a feat tree, god powers to unlock, I have not got this far yet. I played all of the other MMO's. WoW, LOTRO, Warhammer Online, RIFT DC Online, City of Heroes, Conan and a bunch of free ones. This one sticks out of the bunch I just mentioned, its my personal fave so far. Again, I love the feel of the world and this minion system. Its only $9.99 a month by the way. I does need a little polish, but give it a try, this could be a very unique MMO experience you wouldnt want to miss.
