Great conclusion for my man Kratos.

User Rating: 8 | God of War III PS3
After starting this game i was so excited. Years of waiting due ot the cliff hanger in god of war 2 made me want more. As you have read, you kinda need to play the other games to understand the story to some degree, however it's really not required.

Sound: The sound of the game is beautiful of course. The regular music you hear in the previous games, however it's the most memorable. For example, when i was on this boss fight the emphatic music pumped me up; it created an adrenaline rush. In addition to this, the attack sounds have a good force on it ,so you feel the impact from each attack.

Graphics: As you may have heard god of war 3 is a looker. The attacks, the environments, the cut scenes and the stages are top notch. While other characters such as peasants or bosses may not be on par with Kratos' character model, it's still one of the best looking games on the ps3.

Story: You are Kratos and want revenge on the gods simple enough. Story was fun however, it was a little to quick on the story, but overall it was nicely paced. The gore is over the top, but cool. For instance, i was oohing, awing and wowing with amazement when i was playing. This type of reaction describes it all. The length of it is typical 8-10 hours depending on difficulty level and i picked hard by the way, so less if you are a wussy. You could add another 10+ if you play god mode or whatever is higher than hard mode, therefore the replay value can go up. However, if you're the type that just play story mode once then i recommend you rent this instead,

Gameplay (+): The most important aspect of a game is the gameplay. Indeed God of War 3 plays the same and looks the same, nevertheless it's still fun. You have a weak attack and strong attack. With combinations you make new combos and so forth. Moreover, there are new weapons. Each weapon is thought out and have their own magic ability. You can attack then change weapons mid combo then keeping attacking, use their powers, and so on which creates cool combos. More importantly, they look pretty. The difficulty is right on the spot. If you want easy it's easy, hard is hard, so each level matches it's description.

Gameplay (-): If you haven't known this is a single player only game. As i stated before it's the same. You collect yet again eyes and feathers inside a chest to power up your health and magic meter. The magic and attacks are same same yet again. You beat a monster and it gives you orbs (exp) to level up each weapon. Nothing exciting. There just isn't any innovation. Again same side mode at the end when you beat the game like previous installments which isn't appealing compared to the single player.

Replay Value: This category is very important to me because i want my money's worth. This game is 6/10 on the replay value which is passable because of the harder difficulty level and that one side mode.

To conclude, this is a very great and fun game; even though it's a short, any god of war fan must play this once. Wait scratch that you don't need to be a fan. If you want a gore infested, adrenaline rush game then pick this up, now that it's reasonably price, you won't regret adding this to your game collection.
