Kratos is back, and as ferocious as ever. I can't ask how Ready at Dawn did it, but the miracle speaks for itself. 9/10!

I got to hand it to Ready at Dawn. For being able to accumulate a game of this caliber is enough to give them some praise. Not only deciding to refrain from recycling anything from the PSP's bigger brother, Ready at Dawn went full-scale on this one. Pulling as much as it could out of the tiny portable system to piece together a truly fun pick-up-and-go game. I admit, the overall campaign is very short. And may be able to be finished in less than 4 hours straight, being that your playing on easy and you are a God of War veteran. However, taking into consideration the number of people who can only play their portable systems on their spare time, that's more than enough to compensate for, considering the fact that you want to rip the heads off of some mythos bad guys during break after a rough day at work (speaking from experience); besides, some sacrifices need to be made for quality and structure to really shine on this system, and shine they did. The graphics are top notch, and may actually even rival its PS2 predecessors, the in-game music score is the best I've heard out of any of the God of War Trilogy, and voices are crisp and clear, and familiar characters like Kratos and the narrator, are played by the same people. I have to say, this is a must have for any PSP owner. Definitely worth putting 40 bucks into. The battle mechanics are dead on, and I'm constantly amazed that the game can maintain itself even when there is so much going on. I'm also fascinated that they managed to fit in some of the bonuses! (What is god of war without the bonuses?). These features insure replay value. So even if the campaign is short, you have plenty of reason to go through it on more difficult settings. What lacks in the campaign, can be made up in the challenges. Which are bound to be challenging in all senses (or if anything frustrating). In any case, there is nothing more welcoming than the feeling of knowing you're walking around with God of war in the comfort of your pocket. No more craving God of War while at work or away from home. Ready of Dawn wanted everything about its video game predecessors slapped into the small, but seemingly not so inferior Playstation Portable System. I agreed on all fronts with Gamespot's, the User's, and the Critic's score, and averaged those three out with a solid 9.0. With graphics and structure, and beautiful environments, this is definitely a solid franchise that will fit into the current trilogy. The majority speaks for themselves, get the game and I'm sure you will too.
