An interesting and novel concept ruined by dated graphics, politically weighted storylines and boring gameplay.

Admittedly the demo only allows one scenario so the rest of the game may be significantly better but judging from the premise of this demo I find that unlikely. The game is set in the Middle East in modern day Israel and focuses on the ongoing conflict between the Palestinians and Israelis. You the player, play the part of a journalist (a Jewish woman or Palestinian man) who must seek out the truth and produce and article worthy of publishing by your chosen newspaper. The game claims to present the player with a neutral perspective and then allow them to search out the truth worthy of making news. Unfortunately, this isn’t the case. The storylines are rather linear and dare I say simplistic, almost forcing the player to adopt a given story to succeed the level. To find answers you must ask questions, but you only have the option to choose from the two provided at each point in the conversation. Add to this what one can only explain as some sort of political bias in the choice of these questions and already the game starts to loose much of its luster. Throw in dated graphics, negligible sound and gameplay that soon becomes rather tiresome, the game, whilst a novel idea fails miserably in its implementation.
