One of the best PSX games you'll find!
The gameplay in GEX is good.Take control of Gex and run, jump, tail whip, and tail bounce through 2-D TV envoirments.Gex also has suction cup paws that allow him to climb walls if possible.
You will face many challenges such as rockets, floating platforms, and even swimming underwater.
This game includes power ups such as speed up.Spitting a variety of things such as fire.
The graphics are well designed.Gex looks like a Gecko, TVs are TVs.Not much to say.
The main storyline is that Gex is minding his own buisness watching TV.A robotic fly gets on Gex's nerves and Gex eats the fly.Over at the Media Demension Rez watches and decides to put a claw into his machine.The claw ends up in Gex's TV room.Gex gets frightend and the claw grabs him and throws him into the Media Demension!
GEX includes a good choice of music.The music can get stuck in your head and never come out.Most tunes are good,I liked the final boss song and the toonland song the best.Then we have some wisecracks from a variety of TV shows at the time.They sometimes get annoying but if the wisecracks are tooooo annoying you can make Gex keep his mouth shut on the options menu.
Overall if you are looking for a good and challenging PSX game.GEX is what you are looking for!
