Never expected a $10 game to be this much fun!
Gameplay: 8
For, the gameboy color this games gameplay is pretty topnotch. It offered a whole bunch of things. From, side scrolling to gameplay like Zelda! This game has tons to offer. The only real annoying thing about the game was the cruddy password system. I never thought about writing the password down because I'd always forget. Unforantly, I'd remember when I turn the game back on! To late! So, I'd have to countinually go through the first few levels. Which, was indeed not that fun. Which, is why gameplay is brought down to a 8 instead of a 9.
Graphics: 9
For, the gameboy color this graphics were awesome! They impress on mostly every level! From, the way Gex moves to the way Gex attacks. From, the way Gex does about anything! Just, simply great graphics!
Sound: 7
The sound is one of lowlights of the game. It's pretty much beep-bop not that entertaining. But, that's okay because gameplay manages to overcome this matter. But, still a soundtrack like this is simply no excuse. They could have possibly tried a little bit harder.
Value: 8
Value is also top-notch. Every, thing fits together pretty well. I'd give a 9. But, I'm not sure if the cruddy password save system is actually part of the value. So, value is reduced to a 8.

Gex is a pretty cool character. I mean a gecko that has a hot girlfriend! What's not to like? But, seriously truth be told Gex is a great game. The only thing that's bringing it down is the sound and the password save system. But, other then these lowlights. Gex is a amazingly solid fun action game.
