Gex 3 is a great platformer that is chock full of variety, humor, and flat-out fun. It is under appreciated to be sure.

Now, a lot of people seem to be hating on my favorite lizard, Gex. Sorry, Geico lizard, you're second. Let me start by saying that Gex 3: Deep Cover Gecko is much better than Gex 2: Enter the Gecko. This game is very unique; you won't find this kind of game anywhere else, at least as far as I know. It's about a lizard, Gex, who has to save his sexy parter from the clutches of Rez. Gex has a lair in the TV world, kind of like a bat cave. He even has a butler, Alfred, who is a tortoise. Gex has to collect remotes in various levels, each parodying an aspect of TV and movie culture. There is a Greek/Roman level, a Snow/Christmas level, Army, Egyptian, Mobster, Anime, Horror, Western, Space etc. I could probably go on if I remembered them all. As you've probably realized, there is a lot of variety, and that's what I love about it. It's a funny game too. Most of the jokes are cheesy but you'll laugh at them anyway. All in all, for it's time, Gex 3 was an awesomely fun game.
