Genji: Dawn of the Samurai is a good game in my opinion. The graphics are pleasing to the eyes and have a nice balance of realism and fantasy. The different backgrounds and areas you travel threw really have their own feel which really sets the mood to the story and the feel you have while traveling these areas. It's also cool that you can change their weapons and armor and you can actually see the difference. It makes it fun to buy the different weapons and armor for each character and see their looks change with the armor or see the weapon change when you equip a different weapon.

The story though basic in nature has a nice little twist to it. Though it's not done the average way that you're yawning and going, "Oh god not this again..." No, on the contrary this game puts just enough spin on it to keep things interesting and make you wonder what else they might throw at you.

The characters are very distinct from each other but in a good way. They don't clash with each other, but each seems developed enough that you grow attached to them to want to see them to the end of the game. It's nice to see them actually get along and have a reason to be traveling with each other unlike other games, where they are just traveling hate each other and you don't know why they are traveling together.

The music is pretty nice as well most of it fits what feel they were going for in certain areas. Not really much to say on this part because I didn't notice the music much so I take that as a good sign that it flowed with the game.

Game play...well for the most part it is easy to pick up. However, there is a move, I guess you'd say, that each character can do but have their own styles of. I'll call it a skill, anyway this "skill" takes a bit of practice to get down so you can bust it out when you want it and use it to its fullest. And let me tell you, you should really get that "skill" down before taking on the final boss cause man do you need it!

The final boss of the game is wicked cool and a nice little twist to him. I won't spoil it but it's pretty freakin' cool. He posed a nice challenge to the game, which in turn made for a nice ending.

My only complaint about this game is I felt it was to short. I felt they could have made this game longer and even more in depth, but that's just me I guess. I personally felt it was just to short I wanted to play more, so the game+ is nice but just not as good as if they'd made the story a bit longer. All in all a good game in my opinion a definite must play!
