Make your name as Prince Temujin, who will go on to become the mighty Genghis Khan.

User Rating: 10 | Aoki Ookami to Shiroki Mejika: Genghis Khan NES
Classic strategy game which allows you to play on either of two levels: as the young prince, who must unite Mongolia, or the emperor who takes on the world.

You must run the kingdom on every level, from bribing angry peasants during hard times-- they actually cheer after you throw the gold-- to drafting and training new soldiers. Fight to see your territories grow. Sign treaties with rival rulers (only to stab them in the back later on, of course). Deal with everything from harvest time to inclement weather.

This is one of the most thorough games ever made. Although the graphics are very simple by today's standards, it has a highly elaborate storyline which offers plenty of challenges along the way.

Everyone secretly wants to take over the world. This game lets you try, without leaving the comfort of home.
