When Gears of War first arrived on the scene many were impressed with how the game looked and once you get it in your hands you will realize why this game is one of the best shooters in the industry not to mention the great multiplayer modes, but what makes this game great? Simply put it has a very well written story with very good voice acting.

Before the current-gen picked up with the great stories we see today, story telling was a lost art in video games, but Gears Of War not only brought fun gameplay, they brought a great story along with it. You play the role of Marcus Fenix as he, like the soldiers around him, fight the worlds greatest threat in the form of Alain creatures who lived underground on earth for years.

The game gets deeper into Marcus's story as well as his teammates as the game goes on and it brings fourth the harsh reality of this war. Gameplay-wise this game delivers as one of the best and most enjoyable shooters I have ever played with unique weapons, great aiming, and overall fun battles.
