Great all-around 3rd person shooter.

Ok, Gears of War 3... a lot can be said about this game. Where to begin? Might as well start out with the reason people buy this game: That's right. The Multiplayer.

The Multiplayer in this game is pretty fun and fast paced whether you stand alone or with your friends. I on the other hand am in a Gears clan (War Houndz founded and headed by TheYeche, check us out). Gears 3 for my clan and I, revolves around strategy and tactics, which is one of the many ways one can play this game and surely not the only way to play it. What Gears 1 and 2 lacked in connection fairness, Gears 3 made up for in Dedicated Servers. This was great until you hit the release of DLC 3 "Fenix Rising". The rule was those who lacked said DLC had no more Server privileges and what really pissed me off (that too harsh of language for the site?) was that even those who did have the DLC couldn't play on the server if even one person didn't have it. One person, can you believe that? Anyway, this game includes 2 new weapons: The Retro Lancer (a Pendulum War era Lancer) and whilst Uber powered almost to the point of OPness and what is perhaps the bane of this game: the Double Barrelled Sawed Off Shotgun. It is a crutch weapon at best, but it does force players to put their rifles to use which is more or less a good thing. Now let's switch gears (lol u c wut I did thar?) before this turns into a DBS rant.

Story Mode is way too long IMO, and while I will not spoil what happens for those who haven't played it , what I will say is that it's filled with heart-wrenching drama and heart-warming brotherly love shared between the members of Delta Squad new and old... Oh yea Carmine's back too and it looks like he's on steroids. Not much can be said about the story, but that it is a superb way to end the trilogy.

Well, that's it. I hope this review even slightly encouraged you to buy, re-buy, rent, crush into powder and snort (erm... maybe not that last one) the game.
