To that last guy - it sounds like you've never played a Gauntlet game before...

Of course all it is is button-mashing goodness! That's all the past few games have been. That doesn't make them any less amusing. Sure it's the same stuff over and over again, but sometimes you need to take a break from those deep-thought-provoking, uber-plot-developing RPGs and just zone out for a bit.

Repetitive? Yes.
Stagnant? Possibly.
Fun while it lasts? You better believe it.

And please, don't judge it for what you want it to be, judge it for what it's supposed to be. Which is mindless, button-destroying, genocidal bliss.
