There's not much to this average rpg, perhaps the only saving grace would be the endless sarcasm and snide remarks.
This game starts out on a strong footing, telling a story of a travelling bard with severe morality problems. Throughout the game, the dirty humor and vulgar remarks never really get old. To an extent it actually keeps... Read Full Review

Horrid controls. Avoid. Roadkill due to it's console heritage and developer laziness.
I often wonder why developers offer ports of console games on the PC if they aren't going to address the target market. The console heritage on this is obvious from the start: grainy low-res cut scenes, checkpoint saves... Read Full Review

Solid, funny game
This is a very solid game, with some flaws but by all means an enjoyable joy ride to go on. THe best aspects of this game are the sound, and the strory line. The controls are super, and might be the one of the best so fa... Read Full Review

More action orientated than real RPG but good and entertaining
I didn’t know much about this game when I purchased it. I remembered playing a demo quiet a good while ago which didn’t carve any good memory in the role playing fresque of my gamer’s mind. Therefore that was quiet a g... Read Full Review

Bard's Tale is little more than another mediocre PS2 rpg (like we don't already have a million of those).
I borrowed this game from a friend of mine, telling me that this is an enjoyable game because it pokes fun at rpg's. Even still, I am glad I did not play this game with high expectations, or otherwise I would have been ... Read Full Review

This is a really funny game; even if you don't like the story that much, or are not liking the game that much I bet you'll forget that when the Bard speaks. I loved the interaction between the Bard and the storyteller, i... Read Full Review

Yes, ok, funny, full of surprises, makes u anxious to finish and view it all ... but it's not an RPG.
Bard's Tale ... nearly a lost memory ... I played all the episodes on my 286. Time has passed and now I see it reappear also in a modern key. Hey, he's our hero! He is one of us! Everyone can be him! He can be coward, lo... Read Full Review

"Perma-Grin"....Completely Delightful!
Now why did this little "Gem" fall through the cracks? I don't believe it received the marketing it deserved, which is unfortunate, because it would not have reached the numbers as it should have, and a lot of RPG fa... Read Full Review

Unique game I tell you. Yes it has it's funny moments I guess.
I wasn't expecting the game to be anything near what I witnessed. I liked the comedy relief it has. It just keeps surprising me every corner I turn. Especially with baud? Well the 5 guys that had the same name! That... Read Full Review

What a bundle of laughs!! Maybe not a classic, but full credit for originality.
I must say I really enjoyed this title. I was sceptical at first after reading some of the reviews on this website. Nevertheless, undeterrred I started the game anyway, not expecting much and was treated to essentially B... Read Full Review
