Not groundbreaking by any means, but the incredible humor and cheekiness of Bard's Tale kept me interested.
RPG's that are not based on anime plots and characters are so incredibly hard to find since the demise of Baldur's Gate that I will give almost any western rpg a shot. Having played all the Bard's Tales from the old ... Read Full Review

A very good rpg game. Could be better, but still very good .
This game is probably one of the best rpg games I've played. I like the summoning monsters ability that you have. The enemies are well balanced, and the creatures you can summon are also fairly balanced. Overall I think... Read Full Review

With a little more polish, and rounding out the camera, this funny yet very clever game would have been a ten.
The Bard's Tale was by far a very enjoyable game. With a rude hero that thinks of nothing but coins and cleavage and a narrator that thinks he is funny, this game has everything for humor in it. Yet even with a game that... Read Full Review

6.7 from Gamespot? See, this is why PC gamers can't have nice things.
I remember playing a demo for this game back when it was released. I loved it. Played it over and over and never got bored. I couldn't find it anywhere in the stores thanks to the moronic publisher screwing it up and no ... Read Full Review

At today's prices it can't hurt to give it a go.
I got this game just recently because I couldn't resist the idea of Cary Elwes and Tony Jay in a game together. It's proved to be worth what I paid ($8) but I'm not sure if I would have recommended it at it's full price.... Read Full Review

At first glance this game may not seem so good, but if you give it a chance you will have some great fun with this title
I bought this game a long time ago and did not start playing it until recently. If you like games like Champions of Norath or Baldur's Gate then you will like this game. It plays like those games but has a very comical t... Read Full Review

Take a RPG and mix in a little Benny Hill style humor and you have Bard's Tale.
Take an OK game and add outrageous humor and you now have a must play title. The Bard's Tale is an instant classic that is hard not to like. With a decent plot, decent graphics, and decent game-play, the voice-overs an... Read Full Review

Great at the beginning but it does get worse
You start out as the Bard you go around rescuing damsels in distress(from big rats) and doing kind of odd jobs. But you then get wrapped up in a horror game sort of because everywhere around you gets infested with zombie... Read Full Review

I would call it a great rpg, and I also would say that its kinda like dark alliance.
Well I got the game, like a year ago and it was a fun game. I had almost beaten it but somehow ,on thememory card it was deleted. Maybe because I was stupid and deleted myself on porpose unnoticably. well I loved it I ha... Read Full Review
