Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3 Cheats For Game Boy Advance

  1. Get Unlimited Lives in World 3-4

Attract Lakitu to the pit underneath the Venus Fire Trap. Next, launch a Koopa shell between the two wooden blocks. Now, as Lakitu launches Spiny Eggs, the Koopa shell will instantly destroy them. Accumulate enough points, and soon you will receive infinite lives. (NOTE: The max amount of lives you can get is 999.)

  2. Witness The Transformation Of The Kings

After completing the game, if you revisit the castle in worlds one through seven, you'll see an extended cutscene where the Koopaling boss for that world is shown transforming the king into their cursed form right before Mario arrives.

  3. Easily Obtain Star Panels

Most levels of the game end with you obtaining what appears to be a random panel - a Mushroom, Flower, or Star, yielding 2, 3, or 5 extra lives if you collect three of each respectively. These panels are not actually random, however; they're determined by Mario's speed. Most notably, if you jump at the panel while dashing at top speed, you're guaranteed to get a Star! (If you use the Left+Right acceleration glitch described above as another example, you'll be guaranteed a Flower.)

  4. Warp to World 8

Typically the Magic Whistles only let you into a specific three worlds depending on which world you use it from: Worlds 1-3 let you warp to Worlds 2-4, and all later worlds to Worlds 5-7. To be able to warp straight to World 8, obtain two Whistles, and use them so that you use the second while in the Warp Zone. This will allow you to enter World 8!

  5. Infinite Lives in World e: Spike Fortress

This requires access to the e-Reader level "Spike Fortress." Near the third Ace Coin in the level is a pit of six Dry Bones. Jump on each of them in sequence while holding A for a boosted jump; by the time you knock down the last one the first few will be getting back up, allowing you to continue jumping in this way infinitely. If you manage to consistently jump on them until time runs out, you'll easily have farmed 150-200 lives!

  6. Acceleration Glitch

This requires a console that lets the player press Left and Right simultaneously. Doing so will glitch Mario's acceleration: this lets him reach top speed faster than normal, and activate the flying abilities of the Leaf and Tanooki power-ups in smaller spaces than normally possible. (Note: Mario can only move to the right like this, not left.)

  7. Many Tanooki Suits

In World 5 (Cloud World), the first available mushroom house has a Tanooki Suit. Get it and beat levels until you get to the cloud part of the world by beating the spiral tower. The game offers to save your game. Save it, then get game over. When you continue, you keep the Tanooki Suit you got at the mushroom house, and the mushroom house has returned! All of the other levels remain defeated as well, though the spiral tower remains standing, so you cna beat it and save your game, get game over, and get another Tanooki Suit each time! The suits make good replacements for leaves, mushrooms, and useless items (like music boxes) in your item list.

Glitch only works for World 5 due to the ability to beat the spiral tower as many times as you want and save after each time.

  8. Infinite Lives in World 2 Fortress

You need to be Raccoon Mario to do this. When you enter the World 2 Fortress, don't attack the first Dry Bones (the skeletal turtle) you see. Instead, lure it over to the other two Dry Bones a few screens ahead. Now, jump on the first one, and use the raccoon tail to flutter onto the next one, and then the final one. By then, the first one should be back on its feet. Keep repeating the process for infinite lives.

  9. Unlock World Selection Screen

Beat the game clearing every single level (90 in total). Once Bowser is defeated, save and you will be brought to a World Selection screen where you can jump to any of the 8 worlds. All locked doors will have been unlocked and you can freely visit any stage/bonus stage/castle/etc.

  10. Special World Endings

Defeat the Koopaling at the end of an Airship (Worlds 1-7) while wearing either the Frog, Tanooki, or Hammer Bros. suit and receive a special message from the King.

  11. Behind-The-Scenes

In most levels, there are multi-colored blocks held up by screws. With the white ones, you can drop behind the scenes to escape enemies or find secret exits by holding down on the d-pad for 5 seconds. In World 1-3 towards the end of the level, drop behind from on top the white block and run behind the black curtain. You will uncover a hidden mushroom house which contains a warp whistle.
