1. Alternate Ending

   When you enter the meteor's room, grab it and go out the door. You will end up in the garage. Hurry and run out the gate and go to the room with the man-eating plant. Hurry and feed the meteor to the plant. If done correctly you will have a cooler ending.

1. Super Mario Bros. Theme

   Once you've restored power to the arcade room and gotten a quarter, go back there and use the quarter on the Meteor Mess machine. This will cause the first five notes of the Super Mario Bros. theme to play.

2. Start the game with two kids instead of three

   Exploiting this glitch will allow you to start the game with Dave and one other kid, instead of Dave and two others. To do it you must click on the kid you want to accompany Dave, and as fast as you can click on 'start'. If you've done it right, the Start button will become a garbled mess and the kid you clicked on won't be highlighted. Click that same kid again to finally highlight them, then click on the glitchy area where the 'start' button would be. The game will start, but you'll only have Dave and one kid on your team.

3. Avoid Nurse Edna At The Beginning

   When you first go into the kitchen at the beginning, Nurse Edna is waiting there for you, and you have to outrun her or she'll get you. If you go the pause menu (where you can save, reset, etc.) and unpause, or switch to another kid and then back, she'll be gone.

4. Freeze Nurse Edna or Purple Tentacle

   When you enter Nurse Edna's room, quickly switch to a different character before she gets you. Wait for at least 20 seconds and switch back to the character in Edna's room. She'll just sit there until the next time you enter her room. This can be repeated as often as you like.

   A similar technique is used to bypass the Purple Tentacle without the help of the Meteor Police, Weird Ed, Green Tentacle, or Recording Contract. Open both doors to the outer lab. If you're in the outer lab and then a cutscene (can be any one of them) occurs, the Purple Tentacle won't run after you and you get walk past him. To easily trigger a cutscene, either ring the doorbell (can only be done if Ed didn't get his package yet), switch to the kid outside the lab and run in there before Ed notices the doorbell's been rung. Or, if you have Jeff and/or Bernard have them fix the phone, call Edna, and before she answers it, switch to the kid outside the lab and go in quickly.

5. Universal Inner Door Code

   At any time before Dr. Fred plays the fixed Meteor Mess game (meaning you have repaired the wires in the attic), you can enter 0000 as the inner door combination and the door will open. Presumably, the door combination is not stored in memory until the Dr. Fred Meteor Mess cut scene plays.

   (Note: the Dr. Fred attempting to play Meteor Mess cut scene will not set the inner door code)

1. Multiple Secret Messages

   While playing, press at the same time A + B + Select + Start to get up to 50 different secret messages.

2. Sound Test (Japanese version)

   To get the sound test, enter the following Japanese characters at the password screen: Press Left 1 time and enter the Japanese character. Press Right 2 times and enter the Japanese character. Press Right 3 times and enter the Japanese character. Press Down 3 times and enter the Japanese character. Press Up 2 times and Left 3 times and enter the Japanese character. Press the button once again to enter the same Japanese character a second time. Press Down 2 times and Left 1 time and enter the Japanese character. Press Up 3 times and Right 1 time and enter the Japanese character. Press Down 4 times and Left 1 time and enter the Japanese character. Press Up 4 times and enter the Japanese character. Once that's done, go to the bottom right option and press the button to be done. If done right, you'll get the sound test.

3. See The Credits (Japanese version)

   To see the credits, enter the following Japanese characters at the password screen: Press Right 4 times and enter the Japanese character. Press Right 1 time and Down 2 times and enter the Japanese character. Press Up 1 time and Right 1 time and enter the Japanese character. Press Right 1 time and Down 1 time and enter the Japanese character. Press Left 5 times and Down 4 times and enter the Japanese character. Press Up 3 times and Left 1 time and enter the Japanese character. Press Up 3 times and Right 1 time and enter the Japanese character. Now, you need to enter spaces to go to the second line of the password. So, from where the cursor is, press Right 4 times and Up 1 time and press the button on that option to enter spaces. Once you are on the second line, repeat the same process above and enter the same Japanese characters again. Then enter spaces yet again to go to the third line of the password and enter the same Japanese characters a third time. Once that's done, go to the bottom right option and press the button to be done. If done right, you'll get to watch the credits.
