What Gamespot Users have to say about Journey

Journey is a wonderful accomplishment and feels like nothing I've ever played before.
Beautiful, poignant and uniquely intimate, Journey makes a strong argument that games can, indeed, be art. You play as an anonymous robed figure venturing in the desert. You see a light coming from the top of a mountai... Read Full Review

Incredible artistic game that does a great job at telling a simple story, yet is a bit pricey for the value
I know very rarely do I base a review off how much a game costs and lets face it, my rating of 8.0 doesn't have much to do with the price, but before you read the review, I want to let you all know, despite this games in... Read Full Review

Journey is a beautiful game that draws you in from the title screen. But it really is just too short!
When I saw the title screen of Journey I just had to play it! It looked like it would be a very emotional experience that would take a hold of me and probably leave me saddened in the end (in a good way). The moments... Read Full Review

A new masterpiece from thatgamecompany which depicts the incredible journey of a person's life.
This is probably one of the games I have most loved in my life: not merely innovative, but unique; not merely visually astounding, but artistic; not merely touching, but moving. It is a silent epic, a work of art that de... Read Full Review

An attempt to be innovative, creative, artistically inspired, etc still winds you up feeling a little empty.
I will be the first to say that I will heartily support developers like those who create Journey as after playing video games since like 1980 I can earnestly say that I feel things have gotten somewhat stale in the indus... Read Full Review

Wait until the price drops.
I loved playing Ico and Shadow of the Colossus, so when I heard this game being compared to those great games I was intrigued. So I read other players reviews which were mostly positive however most did say that this gam... Read Full Review

My journey...
I stand alone in the desert looking off into the distance. Where am I? How did I get here? I do not know. Around me the sand glistens...the haze surrounds me. Slowly I make my way up to the top of a nearby sand dune... Read Full Review

Journey is one of the most beautiful and spiritual games ever created.
The Good: Gorgeous visuals, fantastic soundtrack, one of a kind magical experience, unique online play The Bad: Way too short, unless you have an imagination, you will hate this game, story feels inconclusive Every... Read Full Review

Journey's extremely small game length, uninspired ending, and sense of pretentiousness ends up being it's own downfall.
It took me 59 minutes to beat Journey. For 15 bucks, that is the biggest rip off I've ever seen. Even if the gameplay was good, it doesn't even have very impressive visuals or narrative. Pretentiousness can only ge... Read Full Review

Breathtaking! A journey of discovery.
Journey is a great and refreshing game. Journey is an abstract game with no talking, no text, images and symbols guide the story. As with other titles written by the same game maker, Journey does not explain it's self b... Read Full Review
