If you're a newcomer, stay away from this. If you're a veteran, buy it and jump straight into the nightmare.
It has been three years since the release of the original Doom, and two years after the release of Doom II (well, from the days this game was released anyways)-and both games have relished under the glory of positive and... Read Full Review

yes it's the same and outdated, but It's 2009. I'm not really playing Final DOOM for it's technical prowess.
Imma make this short: Let go of the hate. it's 2009, yes Final DOOM is extremely outdated and has no new enemies or weapons, but that doesn't matter. I'm playin this game for it's sheer awesomeness. Besides, the classi... Read Full Review

Even though Doom and Doom II: Hell on Earth were great... Final Doom will leave you sick of the expierence.
If you have played Doom, The Ultimate Doom or Doom II: Hell on Earth, Final Doom will make you want to cease playing the series, as it really adds nothing new to the games, only levels... and even that gets tiresome afte... Read Full Review

It's pretty good, but the PC version is better.
I found this at my local game shop and decided to pick it up since I wanted to see the difference between the PS1 and the PC versions. It is pretty good,. The graphics are kinda bad, and you can't see as clearly as t... Read Full Review

Quite fun, but get's tiresome afterwards...
OK, Doom & Doom II were fun games. I REALLY mean fun. Doom was a masterpiece, it was a completely new change in the genre, so it doesn't have anything bad going for it. Doom 2 wasn't a masterpiece like Doom, mainly becau... Read Full Review

A good game, but ruined by the terrible sound.
I've never known a game to be ruined completely by one aspect, especially something like the soundtrack, but somehow final Doom for the PlayStation has managed. The developers have got rid of the fast tempo midi music, w... Read Full Review

The biggest mistake id made with Final Doom was the exclusion of new enemies and weapons, which cripples the game bad.
When I first played Final Doom, which was when I first got Doom Collector's Edition (PC), I was thrilled that I had another 2 id WADs to play around in. Truly, the maps are the same genius that John Carmack and Co have ... Read Full Review
