Anyone who has fond memories of D&D from the 70's, 80's and early 90's MUST play the entire Baldur's Gate series.
It's 2011 as I (update) this. Baldur's Gate came out in 1998. You can *still* buy the entire series with little or no difficulty eleven years later. That should tell you something about the greatness of this game seri... Read Full Review

Best story, character interaction and freedom I've found in an RPG.
What can I say? If there is one game you have to play, then I'd say it would have to be Baldur's Gate 2.Great storytelling game, with an awesome and massive history and universe to play in.The game itself has god knows h... Read Full Review

One of the best RPGs ever made and probably Bioware's best game.
When I first got this game, I'll admit, I didn't know much about it. I was just getting into gaming so I never read all the ZOMG ITZ AMAZINGZ comment about it on the interwebz. But after I've played it now, I think I jus... Read Full Review

Baldur's Gate II is an improved sequel which shows that what seems to be a spin-off story can be good too.
The first Baldur's Gate was a great (and quite successful) attempt to bring the game mechanics and the narrative aspect of pen-and-paper RPGs into the digital realm. Therefore, a sequel being made by a BioWare who was in... Read Full Review

Still one of the greatest PC RPGs.
Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn is an excellent game--excellent enough after over a decade to unseat Wasteland as my favorite RPG of all time. The expansion, Throne of Bhaal, was a rush-job and the rough edges show. B... Read Full Review

Though many have tried, no game has ever or will ever compare to the sheer incredible joy I derive from playing this.
There is so much to say about BGII, and so little time to say it in. It is the best RPG of all time, hands down, no questions asked. It is old, and does have some bugs, but it is pure unadulterated fun. This game's story... Read Full Review

Still not bettered. Both the ultimate RPG and a work of gaming art.
It's now nearly ten years since Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn was released. Computer games today, by dent of sheer units sold if nothing else, are on the verge of acceptance into the cultural mainstream, for those und... Read Full Review

One of the greatest Fantasy RPG's out there. An epic story.
One of the best in fantasy RPG during its days. The character creation is a true D&D feature where you get to roll your stat's, but the game has a very generous DM and lets you tweak it a bit more. The in-game stor... Read Full Review
