Play with your old favourites, if you have the money.

Game Room is an application for the Xbox 360 that allows you to download old games from Atari 2600, Intellivision, and arcade games (well, so far). You can buy one play for each game of 40 MS ($.50). Or you can buy the game for 240 MS (to play on one platform) or 400 MS (to play on both Xbox 360 and PC). I recommend you buy the single platform price because I don't know anyone else has both Xbox Live and Games for Live.

You place your games in your own arcade which you can decorate with different themes and props. As you play your games, you'll earn medals for completing certain tasks which are used to level you up so that you can use more themes and props. There are three challenges for each game, Point Buster (get a certain score), Survivalist (live for a certain amount of time) and Time Spender (play for a certain amount of time). These challenges difficultly changes from game to game. One game asks you to play for 1 hour for the first medal where one asks for just 15 minutes.

When you first start, you'll be given 20 tokens. Tokens are used for play games if you don't feel like paying to play. To get more, your friends need to visit your arcade. Most of the people on my friends list don't play this game so I don't get any tokens at all. So you need somebody to visit your arcade everyday to get you more tokens.

They plan on releasing more games every week starting late April, giving you more choices of games. Although this is a great idea with classic games, leaderboards and feeling like you're in an arcade, it's too expensive. I can find one of those Atari flash back consoles with 40 games on for only $30. While buying 40 Atari games on would cost $120 on game room. But give it a try, you might something you like.
