I'm 9 hours deep in this game. I'll get right to the heart of it. The storyline so far is wonderful. The major characters are acted well, the little bit of original ambient noise is great as well. Before I begin the not-so-good portion I want to say that despite the numerous problems with this game, I still enjoy playing it for the story.

So, the first most obvious problem is that the environmental graphics are about on-par with the first Dragon Age. Freedom of movement is horribly lacking. "Well Placed" carts block city alleyways, trees masquerading as game walls are serious immersion breakers. You can defend the wall, but not make your way past an apple cart. While the major characters are voice acted wonderfully, the minor characters are completely devoid of acting ability and sound like they made the coders voice act them. The game interface is probably the clumsiest and non-informative of any game I have played in the last 30 years. Closing a store menu requires you to click a button labeled cancel after your shopping is complete. The list goes on, but I think yuo get the idea.

People that have played Skyrim will more than likely have the hardest time playing this game. To go from so much freedom, to a visually uninspired RPG on rails as tight as Mass Effect 2 will require a real love for this story. The story so far is fantastic and engrossing. I do look forward to playing much more of this visually and mechanically awful game. I believe this game would be perfectly priced at $19.
