The GB camera is an amazing idea, but it's a shame that it was ahead of it's time and never really taken advantage of.

The Game Boy Camera is another one of Nintendo's excellent ideas that never particularly caught on. The Power Glove and Virtual Boy were great ideas, just never executed too well. The Game Boy Camera changes this and delivers an incredibly funny, innovative experience that anyone can enjoy.

Gameplay: The Game Boy Camera (I'm going to call it GBC for short) allows you to take pictures and doodle on, frame, and even print your photos that you've taken. It's a great concept that works incredibly well and creates a ton of laugh out loud moments. But aside from just snapping pictures, you can also play games, make animations, and import photos onto the sprites in the various games. The gameplay is phenomenal. Simply put. My only gripe was that there weren't quite enough games on it.

Graphics: By GB standards this game's graphics are great, and the photo quality, while a bit grainy, is surprisingly clear. Nintendo has obviously put a lot of effort into this and it shows. The games on it have a retro feel to them and get pretty addictive. It's really funny when you play the space-invader esque game and see that the final boss is your friend's giant head. By far some of the best Game Boy graphics I've seen.

Sound: The sound in this game is very good, while it may not seem like it at first. The music for your animations is very customizable, and the tones are catchy and up-beat. What more can I say? It's excellent.

Value: Anyone who buys this is in store for a whole lot of stuff. You've got the games, a camera, a photo shop, and an animator all in one package. Not to mention that this is only a few bucks on eBay! You're in store for a bargain with this one. It's innovation at it's finest.

Bottom Line: The GBC is one of the best games you can pick up for your Game Boy, Game Boy Color, or Game Boy Advance. It's also one of the funniest and most entertaining handheld games ever, bringing a fresh, and comical experience. Now if I could just get a printer........
