Disney Plus
For the hardcore Star Wars fan, Disney Plus is a must thanks to The Mandalorian, the new Star Wars series starring a Mandalorian bounty hunter after the events of Return of the Jedi. The Mandalorian is exclusive to Disney Plus and is available to stream now. Yearly subscriptions cost $70, which represents a $14 savings over month-to-month plans. It also lets you stream all of the Star Wars films save for Solo and The Last Jedi. That, of course, lets you watch the original Star Wars trilogy before diving into The Mandalorian, and will help you get caught up on the recent Star Wars movies before The Rise of Skywalker.
Star Wars Episodes 1-6
The original trilogy and prequel films all in one place, including audio commentary from George Lucas and others for all the movies. All told, you get more than 40 hours of special features with this Blu-ray box set, which is a great gift for any Star Wars fan.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
Respawn’s hotly anticipated action game takes place a few years after Revenge of the Sith. In Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, you play as Cal Kestis, a Jedi Padawan who wants to get as far away from the Galactic Empire as possible (can’t blame him). Fallen Order is out now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
Star Wars: Darth Vader Comic Book, Vol. 1 - $12.84
This comic series by author Kieron Gillen and artist Salvador Larocca is not only canon within the current Marvel version of the Star Wars universe (a lot of the older Extended Universe stories were cut around the release of The Force Awakens), but it's also one of the sharpest, most deftly-told versions of Darth Vader's story, doing his villainous acts justice while also revealing him to be more sympathetic than the original trilogy set out to make him towards the end. This is a great gift for hardcore fans that scales fairly well, too; depending on the occasion, you can buy between one and four volumes for the series.
Captain Phasma Nerf Gun
Though it’s almost impossible to look as cool as Gwendoline Christie does portraying Captain Phasma, this Nerf gun makes for a one of the more awesome Star Wars gifts that isn't a lightsaber. The bolt-action Blaster has five glow-in-the-dark darts and fun sound effects. It’s the perfect gift for kids who want to play out their favorite scenes from the movies.
Chewbacca Electronic Mask
Roar like Chewbacca with this awesome Wookiee mask. All you have to do to mimic Chewie’s sounds from the movie is open your mouth like you’re actually going to roar. Since the sound could annoy you, this is one of those things that’s perfect to buy for nieces, nephews, grandkids--kids that don’t live with you. It’s a small price to pay to complete your Wookie costume.
Death Star Waffle Maker
How many kids can say that they destroy the Death Star every day? Well, with this Death Star Waffle Maker from ThinkGeek, the Death Star will get devoured with ease. Plus, the Waffle Maker has an understated, classy design, so it won’t look weird alongside other appliances. All you need now is some TIE Fighter-themed syrup to go with it.
Boba Fett Mandalorian Backpack
With The Mandalorian primed to be one of the biggest shows this fall, there’s obviously going to be a ton of interest in Mandalorian-themed school supplies. Rugged and featuring a bunch of neat little pockets, this officially licensed Mandalorian backpack is super slick. It has a laptop compartment that fits 15-inch laptops. This is a $60 backpack that could work well for several school years.
Luke Skywalker FX Lightsaber
It’s not custom-built like the ones at Galaxy’s Edge, but this is still a cool collector worthy replica of Luke Skywalker’s Star Wars lightsaber, complete with movie sound effects and realistic lighting. When not swinging it around, it’s a great decorative piece thanks to the included stand. It’s pricey, but you’re getting premium quality here.
Wampa Bean Bag Chair
An extra cozy addition to a game or TV room, this massive Wampa bean bag chair from ThinkGeek is an absolute unit. The steep price matches its size.
The Star Wars Archives
The Star Wars Archives is the definitive book about the original trilogy. Volume one covers 1977-1983 and takes readers on a journey through the development of what would soon become a worldwide phenomenon. Narrated by George Lucas himself, the 604-page oversized hardcover has never-before-seen looks at the script, concept art, photography, and much more. It’s an expensive book, but think of it has an oral history of Star Wars from the man who created it.
Star Wars Monopoly 40th Anniversary Edition
The 40th Anniversary Edition of Star Wars Monopoly uses scenes, ships, and characters from Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. This edition of Star Wars Monopoly is by no means the first to be made, but it is the most novel one. Monopoly is a game that seems to be passed down from generation to generation.
Star Wars: A New Hope Shopper Tote
Help save the environment with this recycled tote bag perfect for groceries. Plus, it has the original movie poster for A New Hope emblazoned on the front of the bag.
Wampa Snack Bowl
Wampa’s a hungry boy and has eaten all the snacks. Luckily, he can’t close his mouth and you can scoop snacks straight from his head. In all seriousness, this bowl is the ideal popcorn holder when watching that Blu-ray box set we mentioned earlier.
Star Wars Arcade Cabinet with Riser
Like Star Wars and arcade cabinets? This cool new Star Wars cabinet from Arcade1UP is a stunningly beautiful machine. The 5-foot machine (with riser) uses the original arcade artwork. It includes three arcade games: Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi. The 17-inch display is splendid, but the star is the flight yoke and controls that are designed to mirror the feel of playing these classic arcade games, making it a cool star wars gift for older fans.
Star Wars: A New Hope Wallet
You probably know someone (maybe it’s you) who needs a new wallet. Why not pick up this Star Wars: A New Hope-themed wallet? Every time you reach for your credit card, Darth Vader will glare at you.
LEGO Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Millennium Falcon
Name a more iconic space vessel than the Millennium Falcon. This cool, 1,351-piece LEGO set is ideal for Jedi of all ages to build either solo or with the help of an adult. Elaborately detailed, the finished build is mightily impressive and display shelf worthy. This model reflects the Millennium Falcon as seen in the upcoming Rise of the Skywalker film, making it a timely holiday gift. The set also features a mix of old and new characters: Chewbacca, Lando Calrissian, Finn, BB-8, C-3PO, Boolio, and D-O. The set can be purchased at Amazon.
Kylo Ren Electronic Mask
Not everyone wants to play the bad guy, but it's hard to deny how cool of Kylo Ren's helmet is, especially after being damaged in battle. This replica version has a sound-controlled FX light that illuminates when speaking while wearing it. Unlike the Chewbacca mask, this is a good one to get for your own kids, as the noise will be their angelic voices, not Wookie wails.
Star Wars Christmas Sweaters
Get in on the ongoing return of the ugly Christmas sweater show your pride as a Star Wars fan by grabbing one of these officially licensed Star Wars Christmas Jumpers. You can get them in a handful of designs, including sweaters featuring Princess Leia Princess Leia, Kylo Ren, and more.
