The Best and Worst Avengers Funko Pops Ever Made

The MCU is heading into relatively unknown territory with Phase 4 just over the horizon and Spider-Man: Far From Home just around the corner, but our favorite Avengers characters--even those who suffered some major upsets during Avengers: Endgame--will be with us forever. Literally. There are so, so many Funko Pop figures out there to immortalize our favorite superheroes and villains. So while yes, Thanos can take their lives, he can never take their, uh, vinyl collectibles.
But this also presents an interesting quandary. With so many Pop figures out there and so many superheroes to choose from, which ones are actually worth the money and which ones are better left to collect dust on the shelf? Well, you're in luck--employing the same GameSpot ranking technology we used to catalog Spider-Man Pops (basically, just deciding what rules and what doesn't), we set our sights on the Avengers and their enemies to figure out which Pops to pick up, and which Pops to pitch.
WORST: Smiling Thanos (289)
Thanos may be one of the greatest Avengers villains of all time, but this particular Pop doesn't really deliver on the reputation. Remember when Star-Lord called him "Grimace" after the McDonald's mascot? Yeah, that's the vibe this particular toy gives off.
WORST: Ebony Maw (291)
If Squidward Tentacles were sent to a sci-fi future, this is what his Pop would look like.
BEST: Vision (307)
Classy, elegant, with a great use of the cape to give some interest to the pose. This is one successful Pop.
BEST: Bearded Steve (288)
Not even a Funko Pop can make Steve Rogers and his beard look bad. This version of Cap will look good no matter what, every single time.
WORST: Blonde Black Widow (295)
In contrast, Natasha never really pulled off the blonde hair--and the weird green costume certainly didn't do the her any favors. As a Pop, all those design flaws just become more obvious.
BEST: Infinity War Bucky (418)
Bucky Barnes may have had the briefest of appearances in Infinity War, but his costume and hair both looked great, and they look good in this figure. Look at that cute swept-behind-the-ear detail. Adorable.
WORST: Hulk (68)
Was this Hulk just blasted in the face by a can of pepper spray?
BEST: Ant-Man and Ant-Thony (13)
Maybe it's cheating to bring a giant ant to a Funko Pop fight, but hey, it works. Scott looks adorable riding in on Ant-Thony and Ant-Thony himself doesn't look so bad, given that he's a huge gross bug.
BEST: Golden Iron Man (285)
If ever there were an Avenger who would look great as an Oscar statue, it would be Iron Man. This Pop is probably the closest I'll ever get to that, but I'll take it.
WORST: Classic Iron Man (04)
On the other hand, the dead, soulless eyes of classic Iron Man are something I'd much rather leave behind.
BEST: Classic Cap (06)
Not every classic Avengers look is bad. Take Cap, for example, who actually makes the whole "blank stare" thing work.
WORST: Scarlet Witch (133)
It's not really Wanda's fault that she never got a very good costume in any of her movies, but her Pop definitely suffers for it. This is basically just Elizabeth Olsen wearing a red duster.
WORST: Agent 13 (131)
Poor, poor Sharon Carter. There's nothing even worth talking about in this particular figure, boring from start to finish.
BEST: Casual Thor (479)
Who doesn't love some Big Thorbowski?
WORST: Rocket (201)
Sometimes animal-styled Pops work, other times they don't. Unfortunately for Rocket, this Pop falls into the latter category. His entire personality has left the building for this one.
BEST: Glow in the Dark Black Panther (273)
It's difficult to make T'Challa look bad, even as a Funko Pop and this particular figure really drives that home. The glowing accents are nothing but cool.
WORST: Stonekeeper Red Skull (339)
What do you mean you don't want Red Skull as a Ring Wraith in your collection?
BEST: WW2 Cap (219)
Steve continues his win streak of great Pops with his WW2 look--great costume, great collectible.
BEST: Age of Ultron Black Widow (91)
While Nat may not have had the best Infinity War outfit, her design for Age of Ultron actually ruled, right down to the totally incongruous Tron-like LED seams. It worked in the movie and it works as a Pop.
WORST: Classic Vision (239)
There's just something about that black shading around the eyes. Horrifying. Unsettling. No thank you.
