2020 will see the release of some of the most highly-anticipated games, including some excellent-looking titles available exclusively on Nintendo Switch. There’s a lot of exciting ports, exclusive content, and original games coming out this year for the hybrid console-handheld, and Nintendo fans will have much to look forward to.
In the feature below, you can find all the biggest Switch exclusives confirmed for this year. But seeing as this Nintendo, there's bound to be more games confirmed this year due to how they often announce games closer to their release. Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore
Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE is a crossover between the Fire Emblem and Shin Megami Tensei series. This single-player RPG game was initially released in 2015 for the Wii-U and is now releasing on Switch retitled as Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore, which is complete with new narrative and battle elements that weren't present in the original version.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is the fifth main series entry in the Animal Crossing series. This latest entry in the well-known franchise has you arrive on a deserted island as you gradually craft and build until the location is teeming with a bustling community of talking animals.

Bravely Default II
Not much is known about the next entry in Square Enix’s Bravely series other than it's slated for release sometime in 2020. The game will have a new story and characters and promises to have the same risk-reward turn mechanics that the cult-favorite RPG series made its name on.

Ninjala
Ninjala is a first-party multiplayer action game where eight players, either locally or online, parkour across buildings and arenas to battle it out in a mixture of ninjutsu and bubblegum combat. If that last bit sounds confusing, then allow us to explain: characters can blow bubblegum bubbles and pop them onto opponents to damage or trap them. It sounds peculiar, but that seems to be a part of Ninjala's charm. Currently, Ninjala has a tentative Spring 2020 release date.

No more Heroes III
No more Heroes III marks the return of designer Suda51’s into the cult-favorite action series starring the lightsaber-wielding assassin, Travis Touchdown. Developed Suda 51 and his studio Grasshopper Manufacture, No More Heroes III will bring back the series' over-the-top action-adventure hack and slash style as you once again follow Travis' quirky misadventures.

Sports Story
2017 had a surprise hit in Golf Story, and the game will now have an exclusive direct sequel on the Nintendo Switch in the form of Sports Story. Similar in aesthetic, the indie multiplayer adventure game will have you go beyond just golfing as you embark on quests and play its charming takes on classic sports while making new friends and rivals along the way. Sports Story is slated to release in Mid-2020.

Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition
Xenoblade Chronicles was a highlight for many during the Nintendo Wii era, and now the game is ready to make a triumphant return in the upcoming remastered version for Nintendo Switch. Not much is known about how much the original will change in the definitive edition release, but based on the first trailer, we know it'll have revamped visuals. Return to the story chronicling the adventures of Shulk and Fiora when Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition releases in 2020.
