@wraithraiser: Eh, I liked the characters of Ogre Battle but I preferred Fire Emblem more. Not to mention that card battling games just aren't my style. When I tried the PSP version I liked what they tried to do with it but when you upgrade, you needed to find a certain type of character card just to upgrade and that threw me off. Fighting was fine but to find something just to change your classes... no... I don't like that.

@kennzeroline: SOME are, but some are most certainly coming here too. NoA just hasn't specified which yet. Atlus is most assuredly bringing SMT to the Switch here, I mean just look at all of the other Shin Megumi Tensei titles that are here already for the DS/3DS.

I'm still waiting on a Monster Hunter announcement. Konami said "hope you enjoy it on the 3ds first" when asked about Monster Hunter XX (Double Cross) so I'm hoping to hear more at E3 or The next Tokyo Games Show. Could be some time for the latter.

As someone who appreciates the Switch and is looking forward to a few of the upcoming releases, I had to laugh at seeing Rayman Legends on this list. Remasters or "Definitive Editions" are hardly real exclusives.

@eliminatorpaige: I'm telling you that Sony's got to do a lot more for E3... There's not much to grab me. I have Horizon, Nier Automata, TF 2, FFXV... IS there anything left to impress me? GoW 4 looks odd... Honestly, the Switch is the ONLY system with ANYTHING interesting coming... unless ScaleBound comes back from the grave at MS' corner.

I'm excited for a few titles on the list. Quite frankly, if Nintendo can get 3 - 4 'big hits' mixed with 3 - 8 portable style winners, and a few great indies in the mix, it'll sell well. Why should people hate on a successful new console? PS4 and Xbox 1 aren't going anywhere.

Haters be like "but.... but... Nintendo has literally 0 exclusive coming for the switch whatsoever.... No Zelda doesn't count because it's their flagship franchise and everyone with half a brain is tired of zelda.. What? Mario? Well, that doesn'T count either.... Nintendo's zombies would buy a mario title even if it only included a screen shot and didn't have any gameplay.... What? tens of other sxclusives coming this year alone?? ... Well.... those are obviously all super boring titles or indie games no one cares about.... What? People are actually hyped for those games I know nothing about? Well, no suprise Nintendrones are so dumb.... "

@heqteur: I agree with you about the indies, can't understand how anyone gets excited about them and they should not be used to promote a new system but Zelda, Splatoon, and Mario Odyssey are games that should not be missed and your wrong, people will never get tired of them.

@heqteur: Anyone who would accuse Nintendo of not having any / enough exclusives is a moron. If anything their problem has always been the opposite. Pretty much since the N64 Nintendo has had very little third party support. They lean way too heavily on Zelda, Super Smash Bros, and Mario Kart which are great and all, but a bit redundant to keep buying consoles for the same franchises over and over.

@cmetz90: True. But if it sells... No, seriously, Fire Emblem will sell Switch's. Just keep adding new elements to the new games like the Echoes 3DS title and we've got a whole new way to sell Fire Emblem to fans all over again. And let's keep the upgrade system. We don't need no damn items to upgrade our characters! But I DID like the romance system introduced in Awakening. Mix those two elements again and we've got something good there!

@Legend_of_Link: I'd take a Metroid Prime or a more classical one anytime! As long as they don'T do another "Other M" like Metroid game.

@heqteur: The only thing I didn't like about other M, personally, was that the item gating was caused by a commanding officer ordering Samus not to use her abilities. It was the stupidest reason, and I would have much rather killed some sort of boss character, or completed some sort of challenge that directly rewarded me with a tool that opened up the map. That said, item gating is also a lazy way not to incorporate the suite of tools in more complex challenges right from the get go, which I would prefer above all else.

@heqteur: Im talking Metroid Prime... The one that was on gamecube and got a 9.8 on IGN... That game was freaking awesome. I want something along those lines. There are already a ton of platformer games on the switch and I would not want a old school Metroid classical game I am ready for new 3D realized worlds.

I really wanted Xenoblade 2, but I certainly didn't expect it to look like shit. Cel-shading still works for Wind Waker after all these years but devs should stop using it, it is not impressive anymore. Particularly a game that I have hopes for a strong plot, following Tetsuya Takahashi's tradition, shouldn't look like a cartoon.

With Factor 5 back from the dead, here's hoping LFL/Disney, EA and Factor 5 collaborate with Nintendo on making a new Rogue Squadron game for Switch. *crosses fingers*

Weaksauce line up other than Mario or Zelda. I want to hear about 3rd party support before I even think about getting a Switch.

I like my switch, but if 3rd party physical games will mostly be higher priced then their console counterparts, then it's going to fail. You can say it's worth the extra 10 dollars for the portability, but you already paid for that when you got the console. Also if they release Skyrim without the expansions (full priced or not) then it's going to be another failure. Nintendo needs 3rd party to do well and they can't just count on selectively picking indies to make it happen, especially when all the good ones have already been out on other platforms for months, if not years now.

@syntaxkt: Nowadays they need exclusives to do well more-so than 3rd party games, or else they are all just worse PCs with nothing special to play when other consoles also have them too in addition to their exclusives. It is hurting Xbox right now because they only mainly have Halo and Forza as top selling exclusives, while PS has Gran Turismo, Last of us, Uncharted, God of War, LittleBigPlanet, etc. And now even the exclusives Xbox has are 100% all released on Windows 10, so it almost has 0 now.

Also in the case of the Switch, it really is a successor to 3DS, not a home console like Wii, Wii U, Xbox, PS, etc. so it has the fact that it is a handheld console to keep it afloat. DS/3DS does better than most consoles and it only needed Pokemon to do that.

For me, as long as it has Smash Bros, I will buy it. As long as PS has Gran Turismo, I will buy it. As long as Xbox has my fav controller outside of the superior (but too expensive) Joycons, I will buy it or buy them for Xbox/Steam on my PC which I consider my primary gaming device.

@Tegorian: Mostly old games that you've had years already to play. What would the point of owning the console be if you could play new games on PC? Here's the leaked list of PS4 games for PSNow. One game is from 2016, one from 2015, and the rest are from 2007-2014. Plus the fact that many great PS3 games have never been on PSNow.

    • Killzone Shadowfall
    • Entwined
    • Hohokum
    • Helldivers - 2015
    • Escape Plan
    • Knack
    • Counterspy
    • The Unfinished Swan
    • Resogun
    • Doki Doki Universe
    • Dead Nation: Apocalypse Edition
    • Sound Shapes
    • Super Stardust Ultra
    • Hardware Rivals - 2016

@darkelf83: Keep praising them if you like the idea of RENTING your games instead of owning them. I for one would like to own a LOT of the games they're offering that had been on PSN but are now only Now-exclusives...

@darkelf83: Most people seem to argue its usefulness, so yeah it makes me sick to think Sony wanted that over B/C. I still think B/C would've been the much easier solution. Incidentally I wasn't saying you did... it just seemed to be where the argument was going.

@darkelf83: Sure time is a factor but not spending $400 is a good reason as well. My point is neither system at this point is 100% exclusive and I am willing to bet although that leaked list is nice the other "exclusives" will join soon enough. Nobody will admit it but Sony does follow Microsoft lead on some things and I'm sure that will be one of them.

So almost all of these exclusives for the Switch are direct sequels or spin-offs from existing franchises. I guess if I decide to buy a Switch, it'll be for Mario and Zelda once again.

    Pass.
