GameStop Black Friday Sale: Best Deals Available Now

For Black Friday 2020, GameStop's sale is offering some of the best prices you'll find anywhere. That includes steep discounts on two very recent games, Watch Dogs: Legion and Star Wars Squadrons, while GameStop also differs one of the lone deals on the just-released Assassin's Creed Valhalla, dropping it to $48 with free next-gen upgrades to the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions. Beyond these individual game deals, there are also steep discounts on PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate memberships that may be of particular interest to those who have gotten their hands on a next-gen console.
GameStop's Black Friday sale is live now and runs through November 29, but many items are selling out, so act quickly if you have your eyes on something. In-store deals are now available after retail locations were closed on Thanksgiving Day.

For $300, you get the new Nintendo Switch with improved battery life, a digital download of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and three months of Nintendo Switch Online. The latter grants you access to libraries of free Switch games, classic NES and SNES titles, and online multiplayer. This bundle will sell out fast, so you'll want to jump on it as fast as you can.

This would make an excellent gift for Mario fans, as the glasses feature Mario, Princess Peach, Luigi, and Yoshi--and of course, the Switch is a fantastic console with a ton of great Mario games.
Three months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for $20 | Nov. 27 only (in-store)
Game Pass Ultimate grants players access to a huge library of games across four Xbox console generations (including Xbox Series X) and PC. It also includes a Gold membership for online multiplayer and free monthly games as well as what's included in the basic tier of EA Access. All first-party Microsoft games are available on the service on their release date. $20 is a fantastic price for three months of the service, especially since you can stack subscriptions to automatically extend your time--though new subscribers should claim their first month for $1 before redeeming any codes. This promotion is seemingly in-store only, although Game Pass Ultimate Black Friday deals are available online elsewhere.
12 months of PlayStation Plus for $45 (was $60)
With the PS5, PlayStation Plus has become an even more valuable service. In addition to free monthly games and online multiplayer access, subscribers can also download and play a big collection of the PS4's best titles. The Plus Collection is exclusive to PS5 owners, however. During Black Friday 2020, you can get a year of PlayStation Plus for only $45 at GameStop. This isn't your cheapest option, however--PS Plus deals elsewhere will get you a year-long membership for closer to $30.

If you're looking to pick up the new Xbox wireless controller that released alongside the Xbox Series X and S, then now's your chance. GameStop is discounting all first-party Xbox controllers by $10 for Black Friday 2020. The new controller also works on Xbox One consoles. Its share button allows you to more easily take videos and screenshots.

Astro makes some of the best gaming headsets out there, and during Black Friday 2020, GameStop is selling the Astro A40 TR gaming headset for $120, down from its regular price of $150. The headset connects via the 3.5mm jack on PlayStation and Xbox controllers.
Assassin's Creed Valhalla for $48 (was $60)
Assassin's Creed Valhalla just released on November 10, yet GameStop is already planning to discount it for Black Friday 2020. You can pick it up for $48, down from its regular price of $60. This is a doorbuster deal, and we expect it may sell out fast, as this is the first discount we've seen for Valhalla. The game also comes with a free next-gen upgrade on the PS5 and Xbox Series X.
Watch Dogs: Legion for $33 (was $60)
Watch Dogs: Legion is a great open-world action game, where hacking is just as useful as a gun. If you don't have the new consoles yet, you can play it on PS4 or Xbox One and then upgrade for free to the PS5 or Xbox Series X/S version when you're ready.
Ghost of Tsushima for $40 (was $60)
Ghost of Tsushima takes you back to the Mongol invasion of Tsushima, which forces protagonist Jin Sakai to consider alternatives to the samurai code in the pursuit of saving his homeland. Ghost of Tsushima also has a fantastic PS5 update that lets you run its Higher Resolution mode at 60fps.
The Last of Us Part II for $30 (was $60)
The Last of Us Part II is a divisive game, but it's hard to deny the appeal of its brutal stealth action and twisting story. There's currently no next-gen upgrade for The Last of Us Part II, but you can still play it on the PS5 via backwards compatibility.
Fire Emblem: Three Houses for $27 (was $60)
Fire Emblem: Three Houses is one of the best games on the Switch, providing a challenging strategic experience in addition to a wonderful story full of great characters. GameStop has it for only $27 during Black Friday 2020, so it's an excellent time to jump in.
New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe for $27 (was $60)
New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe combines the original Wii U game with the New Super Luigi U expansion for the Nintendo Switch. During Black Friday 2020, GameStop is discounting it to $27, one of the best prices we've seen so far.
Yoshi's Crafted World for $27 (was $60)
Yoshi's Crafted World is the little green dinosaur's latest adventure. Leaving the yarn behind, Yoshi is now made out of felt and will interact with the world around him. And yes, it's made out of cardboard, string, and many more crafting materials. GameStop has it discounted to $27 during Black Friday 2020.
Splatoon 2 for $27 (was $60)
One of the Switch's best multiplayer experiences, Splatoon 2 is a shooter that tasks players with covering the map with their team's paint. While you paint the arena, you'll be taking aim at your opponents to splat them as well. And when you run out of ammo, you need to turn into a squid and swim through your team's paint trails. It's a great time, and just in time for the holidays, Splatoon 2 is discounted to $27 during Black Friday 2020.

Another great multiplayer outing, Mario Tennis Aces is a fantastic game of tennis. In addition to a long story mode, Mario Tennis Aces is a competitive game that has a lot of depth and will keep players fighting to get better as they face each other online. GameStop is discounting it to $27 for Black Friday 2020.
Final Fantasy VII Remake for $35 (was $60)
Final Fantasy VII Remake brings players back to Midgar to meet the original game's beloved characters and reenact the events of its early hours. However, the story has been expanded quite a bit, so the visit won't be brief. Unfortunately, no next-gen upgrade has been announced, but it's still playable on the PS5 via backwards compatibility.
Star Wars Squadrons for $17 (was $40)
Star Wars Squadrons puts players into the cockpit of the iconic X-Wing, TIE Fighter, and a number of other ships before throwing them into intergalactic dogfights. GameStop has an awesome deal that brings the new Star Wars game down to $17 during Black Friday 2020.
Crash Bandicoot 4 for $40 (was $60)
Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time continues the mainline games' story and platforming style on PS4 and Xbox One, and while there's no next-gen upgrade, you'll still be able to play it on the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S via backwards compatibility. GameStop has discounted the game to $40 during Black Friday 2020.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 for $30 (was $40)
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 remakes the first two games' levels and brings back all of the original skaters. And yes, you can still skate on iconic parks like Warehouse and Hangar to the sounds of Goldfinger and Rage Against the Machine. GameStop has discounted the skateboarding game to $30 during Black Friday 2020.
Persona 5 Royal: Steelbook Edition for $25 (was $60)
One of the best JRPGs in recent years, Persona 5 Royal makes some welcome changes to the beloved game. In addition to a new grappling hook tool, there's also a brand-new character to max out your social link with. Persona 5 Royal's neat steelbook edition is $25 at GameStop.

Doom Eternal is one of the best action games of the year, providing players with non-stop action, excellent platforming, and a wide array of guns and tools to use. Bethesda has announced that it will receive a next-gen upgrade, but for now, you can play it on the new consoles via backwards compatibility. GameStop has it for $20 during Black Friday 2020.
FIFA 21 for $27 (was $60)
FIFA 21 continues the soccer franchise's excellent legacy, and its free next-gen upgrade is coming December 4. GameStop is discounting it to $27 for Black Friday, so you'll want to snag it while you can.
Madden NFL 21 for $27 (was $60)
Madden NFL 21 is also getting a next-gen upgrade on December 4, so you'll be able to play this year's football game with a number of new enhancements. GameStop is selling this year's entry for only $27 during Black Friday 2020.
Gears Tactics for $30 (was $60)
Gears Tactics released on PC earlier this year, but now you can finally enjoy it on consoles. And during Black Friday 2020, GameStop is discounting it to $30 the same month it released. Thanks to Microsoft's Smart Delivery service, you'll get the best version of the game your console can handle, whether you're playing on the Xbox Series X or Xbox One.
