This past Sunday's episode of Game of Thrones, Episode 3, was monumental, even if it was hard to make out what was going on and that war strategy made no sense. I don't know about you, but everyone I love is dead, except for Arya. The third episode of the final season really hit home that fact that everything dies and some characters are now dead again.
Looking forward to Episode 4 of the HBO series, how will what happened to the characters of Westeros affect them for the upcoming battle between the North and the South? The latest teaser gives us some idea. Apparently, Dany is fine, as you can see in the picture above. The preview trailer also lets us know that both Ghost and Rhaegal made it out of the Battle of Winterfell, despite their disappearing act suggesting that they might have been killed. All of the characters at Winterfell who survived generally look mournful in light of the deaths their forces suffered. There doesn't seem to be a lot of celebration going on in light of what Arya achieved, although Cersei is looking quite smug in King's Landing.
Here are the photos released by HBO for the latest episode, which will air on May 5 at 9 PM. There are a total of three episodes left; Episode 4 clocks in at 78 minutes, while the following two will both be 80 minutes long. If you're wondering where things could go from here, be sure to check out our new theories and recap of the significance of that crossbow Bronn was given.
Blood & Fire
After the battle with the Night King and White Walkers, there was a lot of loss at Winterfell, and the dead will be burned.
World Coming Down
The Targaryen sigil flies high on these boats, which are undoubtedly headed south for the final battle.
A Death in the Family
Grey Worm, Varys, Missandei, Daenerys, and Tyrion look on at the corpses from the battle at Winterfell.
Set Me on Fire
The Hound, Davos, Sansa, Arya, and Bran look on at corpses as well that are about to be set on fire.
Pain
A very upset Jon Snow holds a torch, looking at the corpses after the battle with the Night King.
These Three Things
Missandei, Dany, and Varys are planning the attack on that sweet map.
We Hate Everyone
The two most despicable characters on the series, Euron and Cersei, share a moment where Euron will probably say something really dirty that will make me laugh.
